Hi Janet,

You shouldn't have to pay an entry fee into chile for overland border crossings. We crossed into chile a few times overland; no payment was necessary (we crossed into Arica from Tacna, Peru; we were fine).

Enjoy chile - it's an amazing place!

Hi, thanks for sharing your information. By chance, do you have a USA Passport?
I will be crossing the Arica border soon from Bolivia and wondered if we have to pay a visa fee. I know US Citizens must get a visa if they fly into Santiago International Airport and I am not sure about land crossings such as Arica. Please let me know your thoughts.
